PagerDuty is one of the integration tools cited in the Monitoring category and here we will discuss how to install and set up PagerDuty for receiving alert notifications.

  1. Upon successfully registering with , a prompt will lead you to a page – here's where you craft your Service Name.

The Service Name is pivotal, so remember it for subsequent steps.

  1. Gauging your needs, you're presented with integration options. Opt for the ones that align with your requirements or skip them if they aren't pertinent.

  1. Should you desire notifications via phone and email, provide these details, otherwise, a simple skip suffices.

3. Finally you will be led to the Incidents page.

  1. Navigate to your desired application and initiate the PagerDuty integration. An installation prompt appears – follow its cues.

5. Once installed, it will ask for the Service Name. Enter the Name and Save.

6. On the Incidents page, an incident will be triggered upon the generation of an alert, as shown below.

Following these steps, your PagerDuty is all set to smoothly deliver alert notifications.
