Custom Variables

Describes the Concept of Variable Masking

Last updated 1 year ago

Custom Variables can be configured to safeguard sensitive user credentials for monitoring purposes.

When creating a monitoring, the tenant can provide a Name for the variable to mask its actual Value.

This variable can then be used as a value in Params and Headers.

In the Authorization section:

  • Auth Token: The tenant can use the variable as a Bearer Token.

  • Base Auth: The variable can be provided as the Password.

  • API Key: The variable can be given as the Value.

The meatball menu provides options for Edit and Delete operations on the configured variables.
